The Mission of the Kenyan Diaspora Association of Florida (KDAF) is to unite, uplift and empower Kenyans in Florida and to make an impact in our community. To be an exemplary social-economic and soft-landing group for Kenyans in Florida. This year they are holding a bridging bridges gala at Orlando, Florida. The keynote speaker is the Kenya Ambassador to the U.S Hon. Amb. David Kerich.

Prof. Philliph Mutisya or Raleigh, North Carolina that is 600 miles north of Orlando, Florida is planning to attend the Gala. The professor is asking Kenyans to attend and be part of these events.

The professor who recently retired from the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) this year, and spent the last three months in Kenya has become, a jobs creation ambassador, for the Generation Z in Kenya as he progresses the founding of Diaspora University.

The State of Florida that is one of the State Florida is one of the 5o States in the U.S. is world-renowned for its tourism. In 2023 it is reported that over 140 million people visited this state that has beach resorts, amusement parks, warm and sunny climate, Walt Disney theme parks, the Kennedy Space Center, Miami Beach and other tourism attractions that draw the millions of visitors annually.

Walt Disney resort four theme parks have reached the following peak of visitors: Magic Kingdom, 23 million visitors; Disney's Animal Kingdom, 13 million visitors;  EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow), 12 million visitors; and Disney's Hollywood Studios, 11 million visitors.

Prof. Mutisya will also have an opportunity to engage with the Diaspora Kenyans living in Florida as he introduces Diaspora University Town (DUT) and the Diaspora University.

Diaspora University is looking to achieve recreational theme park and also increase the tourism to Tsavo National Parks.
